The
company was founded at the beginning of
1985 by Camille RECHARD, then a 23-year
old student in business studies. In order
to finance his studies, he was working
at the time for an important car hire
firm and thus learned the mechanisms of
the business, studied it's strenghts and
weaknesses, and carefully elaborated his
own project. The chance encounter with
a wealthy customer, an Arabian prince
who gave him financial backing, enabled
him to realise his project and thus to
become independant.
Together with two friends the firm was
launched at the beginning of 1985 using
three vehicules based on a garage near
the Place de l'Etoile. Priority was given
to establishing for the new product :
the first customers, pleased with the
service, began using it regularly, Gradually
over the months, succes attracted new
drivers to the team, each one ready to
carry out whatever tasks needed doing
: as well as chauffeuring, bookkeeping,
prospecting for new clients, repairs and
maintenance, a close-knit, efficient and
dynamic team came into existence, a team
with plenty of punch and a feeling of
"belonging".
News of the success-story got around and
brought in new customers as well as new
drivers applying to join the firm,
The key to success lay in a radically
different approach to the way material
was used and staff employed.
In fact the firm was the first to apply
a novel concept which has since never
been faulted. It has developped into a
source of pride for it's managers, of
envy for the competition and of satisfaction
for it's customers.
This concept, worked out by Camille
RECHARD, was based on a few essential
points which, although obvious to him,
had never before been applied by others
: service was to be seen as a noble
ideal, as seeking to fulfill the demands
of those who have the right and the duty
to be exacting.
